“It’s Up To Me” is a sexual abuse prevention program for teachers, parents and mental health professionals. It is specifically designed as a teaching curriculum for ages three through eight years of age.
Target Populations:
Children who have been or are currently being molested.
Children who may be approached by a child molester.
Children who lack appropriate social skills and a sense of personal boundaries.
Programs that generalize “bad touch” as occurring with “strangers” do not address the fact that “in the vast majority of cases
(up to 90%), children are molested by someone they know”

“Safety Bear” outlines kid friendly definitions for “private parts.” “Appropriate touch” guidelines and self protection skills are identified. Sing-a-long songs and physical activities engage children in the learning process.
